Heritage Flight - F-16 and P-51D

In an incredible display, the USAF F-16 Viper Demonstration Team will join up with P-51D Mustang "Jack’s Go-Buggy" for the Heritage Flight.

Formed in 2010, the Heritage Flight Foundation is a nonprofit organization that selects different air show sites each year for a Heritage Flight. The goal of these flights is to bring together a modern military jet and a historic aircraft to celebrate and honor all of those who have served in the U.S. Air Force.

The P-51D Mustang "Jack’s Go-Buggy" will be flown by Bruce "Doc" Winter. "Doc" knew from a young age that he wanted to become a fighter pilot. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1988 and completed flight training in 1992. He has over 1,300 hours of flight time in the F/A-18 A, B, C, and D, as well as 211 carrier-arrested landings at sea. Winter also served as an F/A-18 Hornet exchange instructor for the Marines in El Toro, CA. Since his time serving the in Navy, "Doc" has flown more than 4,000 hours, with 800 of those being in the P-51 Mustang.

Flying alongside "Doc" and his P-51D Mustang "Jack’s Go-Buggy" is the F-16 Fighting Falcon piloted by Capt. Taylor "FEMA" Hiester. The F-16 is a multi-role fighter aircraft that has been with the Air Force for 50 years. This versatile fighter jet has continually proven itself with its quick maneuverability and proven success in air-to-air and air-to-surface attack missions.
